Rejuva Sole fit note: Tammy has not personally worn the SAS Journey Mesh. This is a research-based look at the current men’s lace-up model, item 2028. It has a leather-and-mesh upper, removable CoolSTEP footbed, forefoot and heel stabilizing features, and a gripped outsole. Those features do not guarantee relief or prevent falls.

Width and fit

SAS lists men’s Slim, Narrow, Medium, Wide, Double Wide and Triple Wide choices on the parent listing. A particular size or color may not be available in every width. Aim for toe and ball-of-foot room with a snug heel, then check the chosen pair indoors with your usual socks and orthotic.

Tradeoffs

The footbed can be removed, but SAS does not describe this model as extra-depth. A bulky orthotic or brace may not fit. It still requires laces, and its 1.75-inch manufacturer-listed heel height may feel different if you are sensitive to platform height or balance. Leather overlays and padding may also feel warmer than a lighter mesh trainer.
