Rejuva Sole fit note: Tammy has not personally worn the Orthofeet Carmel. This women’s leather boot combines hands-free entry, waterproof construction, extra depth and a lug outsole for everyday outdoor walking. It still needs an individual fit and balance check.
Width and fit
Orthofeet’s black Carmel page showed Medium (B), Wide (D) and X-Wide (2E) when checked September 27, 2026. It did not show a 4E or 6E option. Confirm the exact color, size and width in stock before ordering. The removable insole, Arch Booster and fitting spacers give adjustment options, but severe swelling or a bulky brace may need more room than this boot provides.
Try it indoors with your usual socks and orthotic. Check toe and instep pressure, ankle and heel hold, and whether the hands-free heel feels secure. Orthofeet lists a 16.9 mm heel-to-toe drop and a mild rocker-style sole; shoppers sensitive to an elevated or rolling platform should test their balance carefully.
Outdoor tradeoffs
The waterproof leather and rubber lug sole can be useful in wet weather, but grip varies with the surface and no boot prevents every slip or fall. The structured leather boot may feel warmer and heavier than a mesh walking shoe. It is intended for ordinary walking and light outdoor use, not technical hiking or heavy work.
