Rejuva Sole fit note: The KURU FLEX Via pairs a supportive heel cradle with a notably flexible forefoot. It may appeal to walkers who prefer a firmer, easy-bending shoe over a plush rocker. Tammy has not personally tested this model; this listing reflects her research-based review.

What stands out

  • Firm heel containment and a flexible forefoot for everyday walking and travel.
  • Medium and Wide options in both women’s and men’s versions; KURU lists an 11 mm drop.
  • Independent lab testing found strong grip on its sample, while cushioning and energy return measured lower than marketing might suggest.

Check the tradeoffs

This is a firm-feeling shoe, so it may disappoint if you need plush heel shock absorption. There is no X-Wide option. The flexible front may ask too much of a painful big toe, while the stiff heel counter may bother a prominent heel bump. The removable insole does not guarantee an easy fit with a bulky or square-backed orthotic; check heel hold, toe clearance, and comfort during a short indoor trial. Traction is not a slip-prevention guarantee.
